The Active Community Festivals
Noosa Come Together Festival
Bringing Noosa together to help people with disabilities in our communities.
For the second consecutive year, the
Noosa Come Together festival will be held at Noosaville Pirate Park, Gympie Terrace, Noosa to raise funds for local sporting programs designed for people with disabilities who are living and holidaying on the Sunshine Coast.
The first Noosa Come Together festival was held last year raising $10,720 for the Noosa Yacht and Rowing Club’s Sailability program which provides people with a disability the chance to learn and participate in sailing.
Sailability has been operating for 10 years and currently has around 40 participants who sail between April and September.
This year the event will be held on June 10th and 11th with the proceeds again going to Sailability as well as the Riding for the Disabled program and the Disabled Surfer’s Association. This year sees the event grow with a fun run style paddleboard on the Noosa River and the Australian busking championships which will be held on the 10th of June with winners playing at the festival on the 11th.
The event will showcase some incredible local musicians and artists, with plenty for the kids to do including water activities, train, petting zoo, face painting and much more.
Kathmandu Come TogetherMusic Festival
During the Kathmandu Music festival we shall be bringing together the best local artists that Nepal has to offer to play in schools, communities and historic areas, many of which are still affected by the earthquake. These intimate gigs will be for the people of Kathmandu and will culminate in a large stadium concert for the Nepali people in order to lift their hearts and spirits.
